Will of Robert Gay of the County of Rockbridge, Aug 1, 1815, proved Mar. 4, 1816:

My wife Sarah Gay the land I now live on and after her death my dau. Anne Paine all my land on the east side of the back mt. in Bath Co. Richard Paine. My grandson William Paine, chattels to be left on hands of Richard B. Paine until he comes of age. Mary Gilkison $1 and to her children Sally Gilkison, James C. Gilkison, Hugh Gilkison, Mary A. Gilkison $1 each. Wife Sarah Gay and Richard B. Paine executors. Witnesses John Frazer, Samuel Frazer, Henry Frazer. (Rockbridge Wills, r: 161).
