Death date 1931 died of syphilis-no children-John knew that Tessie had this disease from the day he met her but chose to marry her anyway. They never consecrated their marriage.

From document "An Account of the Almquists, An Epic of Elm Twigs" (1869-1985) by Lois Almquist Schiebel

Not sure of spelling of middle name.

She emigrated in 1880 but on the 1930 census she said she immigrated 1895. This must have been a mistake.

From the notes of the Eliason family. Lois Schiebel remembers visiting Aunt Tessie around 1927 or 28 in St. Paul. Tessie bought her and her sister each an expensive hat.

It looks like Gustaf has returned to bring the family back to America with him.
Looks like Gustaf was born in Vessige, Anna & Alma in Ullered and Tessie in Stafsinge. (Not sure about Alma's place of birth.)

On this record there are lines through the date of birth, Mother and marriage status. Even the numbering of births is crossed through. This may have been done when she left Sweden to move to the US at 6 months old. Under her name is (2 b. y. 2 h).
There is a bracket containing her parents and noted is 3 1/2 ar. (might be hours of labor). Fathers age is hard to read, might be 36 and it is also crossed through. Gustaf would have been 33 when Potentia was born. There are also words that I cannot read in a column at the end. (C/B Sörby of Wessige) I cannot define that column with the tools I have available now.

Note that the place of burial was Lewis but that was crossed out and Frederick was handwritten in.

3 born in United States: John Robert, Carl Julius and ?
4 born in Scandinavia: Gustaf Eric, Anna Johanna, Alma Sofia and Potencia Suafer.
Males are probably Gustaf, John Robert, Carl Julius and perhaps a son who did not live. (in the 1900 US Census Anna stated that she had given birth to 9 children but I am only aware of 7).
Females would be Anna Johanna, Alma Sofia and Potencia Suafer.

I do not know who the other male would be. They have listed that 3 were born in the US so I believe that they had a son that did not survive or that I do not know about.
