From document "An Account of the Almquists, An Epic of Elm Twigs" (1869-1985) by Lois Almquist Schiebel
Alma was an asthmatic.
Alma reminded Lois Schiebel of her mother Anna Johanna Almquist. She was a plump, motherly soul devoted to her family and made them her only concern.
Death date taken from Lois Almquist Scheibel pages.
I have made an assumption that she was born in Tranabo since she was listed on a Household record from there when she was very young. Her birth record does not get that specific.
From the notes of the Eliason family: They lived in Duluth in 1899 through at least 1910 then later moved to Lewis then Siren Wisconsin. In 1924, at the time of Emanuel Almquist's death (Alma's step father) they were still there. From Siren the Petersons moved to St. Paul. Quote from a 1965 obituary clipping of Erwin Peterson "The Charles Peterson family lived at Siren may years ago on what is now the William Burnikel place and later operated the hotel in Siren which is not Kliser Hardware."

The ages of all members of the Peterson family seem wrong. Example: Carl was only 1 on the 1900 US Census here he is 15. Also the children do not all match with what I have listed. 1885 Wisconsin State Census ancestry.com, 1885.
3 born in United States: John Robert, Carl Julius and ? 4 born in Scandinavia: Gustaf Eric, Anna Johanna, Alma Sofia and Potencia Suafer. Males are probably Gustaf, John Robert, Carl Julius and perhaps a son who did not live. (in the 1900 US Census Anna stated that she had given birth to 9 children but I am only aware of 7). Females would be Anna Johanna, Alma Sofia and Potencia Suafer.
I do not know who the other male would be. They have listed that 3 were born in the US so I believe that they had a son that did not survive or that I do not know about.
