  • Vol. 2 - 1780--April 24th, estate of Jno. Simons (Limont?) committed. George Armentrout proves service as soldier in Captain Hog's Rangers. Philip Moyer qualifies First Lieutenant. Daniel Grubb proves service as soldier in Captain Hog's Rangers.


Record in Shenandoah County, Virginia:


  • [Vol. 2, 23] Deed Book E, page 297 - 27 July 1785. Between Conrad Sciple and Hanna his wife of Rockingham County in Virginia [to] Cunrod Pence of County of Shanando ... consideration of three hundred and seventy five Pounds ... tract of land containing two hundred acres lying in aforesaid County on Holemans Run it being part of a larger tract of four hundred and forty four acres which was formally granted to Christian Funkhouser by deed from Proprietor of Northern Neck bearing date 2nd March 1752 and after several conveyances thereof were made the said two hundred acres were conveyed to said Cunrod Sciple by deed of L & R Ilth & 12th days of August 1782 from Philip Henry Moyer. Wit: Jacob Rinker, Jr. signed in German 2 wit. signed in German Hanna (H) Sciple Recorded: 27 July 1785
