Abraham Lefever I (wire Elizabeth) was given a grant or 200 acres on May 3, 1784, on the South Fork or the Holston River in Washington Co. On 9 July 1789 he was living in Augusta Co., Va. when he gave power or attorney to Abraham Jr. or Washington Co. to convey this 200 acres to Philip Barick and this was exercised on 15 November 1791 in Washington Co. On 2 1 June 1796 Abraham Le f ever (and Elizabeth his wire) or Augusta Co. ror the sum or 110 pounds sold to Samuel Hurr a parcel or land on the waters or the falling Spring, a branch or the Middle River, [In Augusta Co.] containing 280 acres first granted to Phillip Barrick (10 April 1781) and by him conveyed to Abraham Lefever. [The bounds went from a Black Oak and hicory on a hillside to a red oak, a white oak, hicory saplings, etc. The only solid clue as to this location is mention or Lewis Mourey's linP..] and his wire Elizabeth both signed this (x). Abraham Laravour That is the last trace we have round or Abraham I and his wire Elizabeth.
