Armstrong, sister Rebecca, and brother Warren He is 2 years old and born in Georgia. 1880 Census, Miles “Foster” is enumerated in his father Jacob “Foster’s” household in Pulaski County, Georgia with his mother Mary, brothers Warren and Barry and sisters Rebecca, Mattie and Carrie. He is 11 years old. Other information too light to read. “Grandpa was the meanest man that ever lived. He was jealous of Grandma Maggie. He did not drink.” 1900 Census Miles Foskey was enumerated in Militia District 1503, Pulaski County, Georgia with his wife Maggie L., sons Burrel L., Miles B., and Charley R., and daughter Fannie H. He was 32 years old, married 7 years, and a farmer. Both he and his parents were born in Georgia. Miles was living next door to his brother, Jacob Foskey. 1910 Census Miles Foskey was enumerated in Frazier District 1503, Pulaski County, Georgia with his wife Maggie L, sons Burrell, Miles B. Jr, Robert L., Emmett W., and daughters Fannie and Hazel. Miles was 50 years old and had been married 16 years. He was a farmer. 1920 Census Miles Foskey was enumerated in Militia District 1503, Bleckley County, Georgia. He was the only household member. He was 48 years old, widowed and a farmer. He is next door to his brother Jacob Richard Foskey and son-in-law William Smith. 1930 Census, Miles B. Fosky is enumerated in Frazier District 1503, Bleckly County, Georgia. He is the only one listed at his residence. He was widowed, age 21 when first married. At the time of the census he was 58 years old. He and both parents were born in Georgia. In 1931 Miles gives his age as 59 which would mean he was born in 1872. He was admitted to Central State Hospital 9 April 1931 at his request. He had attempted suicide and feared the KKK was going to burn him out. His son, R.L. Foskey, took him to the hospital where he was diagnosed with manic depression complicated by arterio-sclerosis. He was a well-behaved and helpful patient. After his death on 27 Oct 1935, his brother, Jake Foskey, brought his body home. References
