Case 24248: Andrew Tucker (Senr) 1692 Dec. 6.

On 21 Jan 1725, Mary Bennet and Anne Chapman declined administration of the estate of their Father, Andrew Tucker, nominating their Brother in Law Greenfield Hooper, who gave bond the same day. Presumably this signifies that the original administratrix, widow Mary Tucker, had died.

  4. 4.0 4.1 Both these baptisms come from film 916861: "Parish register transcripts, 1553-1837: Baptisms 1599-1837 Marriages 1560, 1562-1563", for Parish Church of Modbury. It seems too coincidental that two children would be born exactly a year apart, when no burial record inbetween is found. It is more likely these are duplicate records, one erroneous. Given that Mary probably married by 1665 or possibly earlier, the early of the two seems more attractive. Inspecting the original records may shed more light on this. in a deposition dated 16 Oct 1699, Mary Tucker of Marblehead is "aged about 55 yeares", so born about 1644 (Essex Deed Book Vol. 13, folio 161).
