    Marvin G. Church went home to be with his Lord January 13, 2008. He was a life long resident of Gratiot County. He married Sandra K. Huckins, June 23, 1962. He was born to Kenneth and Vida Church on October 18, 1937.

    Marvin was a graduate of Alma High School in 1956. He was a member of the Alma Church of the Nazarene, and a member of the Alma Rockets Motorcycle Club. He drove truck and delivered parts for Genuine Parts Distributors for 34 years around the state of Michigan.

    He is survived by his wife Sandy, his son Gary and Rhonda Church, his daughter Janet and Monte Hout, 7 grandchildren Joshua Hout, Tyler Church, Caleb Hout, Tate Church, Tanner Church, Jacilynn Hout, and Trent Church. His mother Vida Church, a sister Zelma Moeggenborg, a brother Duane Church, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Kenneth Church, brothers Melvin Church, Mervin Church, Dane Church, and one sister Gloria Clark.

    Funeral services will be on Thursday at 11:00 A.M. at Alma Church of the Nazarene. Visitation will be on Wednesday, from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel. Memorials may be made to Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center, Dallas Lamb Foundation or the Church of the Nazarene Piano Fund.
