Obituary:

Church, Sandra Kay; age 73; of Elwell, formerly of Oakwood, Ohio; passed away on Friday, December 18, 2015 at Woodland Hospice House. She was born February 21, 1942 in Montcalm County, Michigan the daughter of L.D. and Ruth (Teed) Huckins. On June 23, 1942 she married Marvin Church at Pilgrim Holiness Church. Sandra was an active member of the Alma Church of the Nazarene, teaching Sunday and Bible school classes, singing and working as a secretary. She enjoyed quilting and sewing and sharing her talents with others as a member of the Quilting Guild in Ohio and teaching classes at the Mt. Pleasant and Alma Sewing Centers. Sandra is survived by her two children, Gary and Rhonda Church of Oakwood, OH, Janet and Monte Hout of Fountain, CO; seven grandchildren, Joshua, Tyler (Colleen), Caleb (Cassandra), Tate, Tanner, Jacilynn (Michael) and Trent; four great grandchildren, Monte, Kaylee, Lillian, Cadelynn; two sisters, Dorene Huckins, Iloree DeBolt; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Marvin; and siblings, Irene Oehring, Lowell Huckins, Oralee Bailey and Freda Wasson. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 21, 2015 at 1 p.m. at the Alma Church of the Nazarene with Pastor John Shoup officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 11 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alma Church of the Nazarene.
