The parents of Michael Karnes have been proven. See http://ultimatefamilyhistorians.blogspot.com/2018/04/the-amazing-power-of-y-dna.html DNA has also proven that even though his son Charles married Hannah, the daughter of Michael Karnes who died 1807 in Bedford County, Virginia, the two Michaels were not related.
