For Louis F. Braught see Warren Co., IA Marriage Records 1878-81 and 1885-89 Warren Co., IA: Lewis F. Braucht, 20 married (#1) Abbie E. Weaver, 19 on 20 Aug. 1879; and Lewis F. Braucht, 29 married (#2) Maud Bryant, 25 on 4 July 1885. Birth Index Book I shows Adah Beulah b. 10 Dec.1883 to Louis F. Braucht and Abba Weaver; and Annie M. Braucht b. 25 Aug, 1892 to Lewis and Maud Bryant Braucht (I think I did not accurately record details here, but it had to be for Annie M. ). In that same Birth Index Book 1 is the 8 Mar. 1894 birth of John Earl Braucht to Lewis F. Braucht and Maud Bryant; and to Lewis F. Braucht and Maude Bryant; Medie Braucht born 9 Aug. 1889; and to L. Braucht and Mary Bryant (who knows why Maude is called Mary here, but it is obviously the same couple) ... and I forgot to record here the rest of that record. 

  Most records found spelled his first name as Lewis, so I changed my original spelling of Louis to the most frequent. 1880 Warren Co. Census shows Lewis Braucht, b. 1859 and Abigail, b. 1861 with son Walter, b. 1880 in Squaw Twsp.
  Records from Fred O. Bryant's will;  shared by Cleo O. Bryant of 4011 W. 95th St. Terr., Overland Park, KS, adds another child named Meta who married a Boarch, but no other details.  Meta is also mentioned in Warren Co. History Book 1987.

Surname spellings here are listed as found in various sources, but clearly same person (once again showing that the Braught/Braucht surname spelling is a superficial criteria when identifying this family, particularly when prior to 1900). LDS # AFN:1zfq-bg1 shows death at New Virginia, IA. Iowa 1885 census for Warren Co., Squaw Twp. House 55, family 57 (next door to George W. and Sarah E. Braucht) as Lewis F. Braucht, 26 farmer, Abbie E. 24 b. VA, Walter (F? unclear), 5, Aida B., 1. 1903 Obituary for his father, Adam, shows him a Louis F. living in New Virginia, IA. History of Waren Co, Iowa Vol. 1, 1987 Article F124, page 513 provides data that Lewis F. Braucht married Maude Victoria Bryant, b. 25 Oct 1861 at Warren Co., IA and married 4 July 1888. She died and buried at New Virginia, Warren Co. IA. They had children Meta, Medie Mae, Anna M., and Earl John.
