Obituary stored at Warren Co. Historical Library in Indianola reports that John Earl Braucht was born at Medford, Iowa December 8, 1894, was 24 years 1 day old at the time of his death and had been ill the last three years of his life. He went to Valmora Sanitarium in New Mexico and then to Albuguerque, NM, but seeing the end was near he came home to his mother and sister Meta in Des Moines. His father, L.F. Braucht and sisters perceded him several years ago .... The body was brought to New Virginia Tuesday afternoon and after a short funeral service at the grave conducted by I.J. Thomas, was laid to rest in the New Virginia Cemetery. Cleo O Bryant records show him as Earl John Braucht (no added data).
