Alt Name Lamuel Tinnin

His signature as a seller also is spelled Lamuel on the recorded deed. He was better know as Lemuel, and he lived at Goodletsville, which is a short distance south of Mansker Creek (in Davidson Co.). His descendants still live on some of his land. "Lamuel" only appeared in one Census record, that of 1820:

1820 Census, Davidson TN TINNIN, Lamuel 100010-30010 (Neither he nor his wife had turned 45.) Some folks think his name was Samuel, but the deed recorder clearly wrote Lamuel.

I see Ancestry.com's Census Index for 1820 TN doesn't include him, but he was definitely there. He was also not in 1830 Census Index, but Thompson/Tinnin researcher Jane Gray Buchanan reported that Lemuel served as a co-executor in the settlement of the estate of [cousin] Eleanor LOGUE between 1831 and 1834; he died Aug 2, 1834. Giles CONNELL was appointed his estate administrator; Jan 18 1836, Davidson Co. Court records (Minute Book B), hire of slaves of Lemuel's estate. This confirms that all his brother had left the area by then. I guess brother-in-law Richard Harrison wasn't made administrator because he lived in Sumner Co.
