Col. Hugh's daughter referred to as "Ginny" in Tinnin literature was named Jane. Though named "Ginney Tinnin" in the text of the 25 Jun 1812 deed from Hugh Tinnin's heirs to brothers Azariah and Hugh Tinnin [Jr.], she signed the deed as Jane Tinnin. A photocopy of the deed is in the book "Tinnin Treks", p. 24. Jane married later that year. From Ancestry.com's "Tennessee Marriages to 1825": Harrison, Richard & Tinnin, Jane, 07 Dec 1812, Sumner County. Another record, of the marriage bond, same date, shows Azariah Tinnan marriage bondsman - Contributed by AlexSThomp@aol.com "Alex S Thompson" Apr 2005 Copyright 2000 Will Johnson.
