~ Her baptism is under the name of Julianna Hannah Pascoe on 25 May 1828, in Helston Parish Church, parents William and Jane Pascoe, residence Helston, father's occupation Carpenter. As this is the only time Hannah appears in her name, it may be a miss-interpretation of Rutter, the maternal family name, which she gave on her marriage record.

~ Julianna is noted in the 1841 Census as 13 years of age, living with her parents and siblings, and next door to her Pascoe grandparents.

~ She married William Pearce on 23 April 1851, Madron Parish, Cornwall. Her marriage certificate gives her name as Juliana Rutter Pascoe, age 22, and her father as William, Inn Keeper, Penzance. Marriage certificate gives William's age as 25, and he was a residant of Gulval.

~ Husband William Pearce was baptised on 19 Jun 1825, in Gulval Parish, to parents John and Sarah Pearce. Father John Pearce was a Farmer, and their residence was Trezealer, in Gulval Parish.

~ Julianna and William had the following children John Pearce b.1850 Gulval, William Pascoe Pearce b.1852 St Erth and Edward Pearce b.1854 Gulval. Their residence is given as Trezelah and William's occupation as famer, except for the 1852 birth, when their residence is Relubbas in the parish of St Erth and his profession is inn keeper. Son John the first born possibly died before they emigrated.

~ They departed England for the Colony of Victoria, Australia sometime between 1854 and 1860. they were recorded living in Eaglehawk and Sandhurst near Bendigo, when Juliana lost son Edward in 1860, and she gave birth to two more sons, in 1860 and 1862. She was left a young widow when her husband William died at the age of 39, in a mining accident in 1864.

~ Julia Pearce married Joseph Rutherford in 1867, in Victoria (Vic. Reg. No.667). Their marriage registration noted her place of birth as Cornwall, and Joseph Rutherford's birthplace as Maryland. Julia Ann Rutter Rutherford died aged 51 years, in 1879, in Victoria. Her place of birth was noted as Cornwall, and her father incorrectly given as James Pascoe and mother as Jane unknown (Vic. Reg. No.1084).
