~ Jane is noted in the 1841 Census as 16 years of age, living with her parents and siblings at Lower Road, Helston, next door to her grandparents. ~ The Madron Parish marriage register records Jane Pascoe as 21, a spinster, residence Penzance, father William Pascoe, Innkeeper, and Thomas Bury Burton as age 26, a bachelor, profession merchant, residence Penzance, father Edward Burton, farmer. They were married by Banns, both signed their names, and the witnesses were William Walker and Ann Lloyd Pascoe. Thomas' profession was as a merchant and inn keeper. He died in 1891, Penzance Reg. District. ~ Their children were all born and baptised in Church Town, St Just in Penwith were: Jane Burton b.1846, Thomas Pascoe Burton b.1848, William Pascoe Burton b. 1850, Jane Burton b.1852, Mary Burton b.1854, Edward Pascoe Burton b.1856, Mary Abbott Burton b.1859 and Albert Abbott Burton b.1863. ~ The 1851 Census adress is: Commercial Hotel, The Square, St Just, Cornwall; Thomas B. Burton, Head, 32, Inn Keeper, born Kingston-on-Thames, Surrey; Jane Burton, wife, 26, b. Helston; Thomas P. son 3, b. St Just; William P. son, 1, b. St Just; Jane P. Burton, dau. 1 month, b. St Just; Mary Pascoe, Visitor, unmarried, 24, Annuitant b. Helston; Catherine Pascoe, Visitor, 16, Annuitant, b. Helston. 1861 Census, same residence. ~ She died aged 62, in the March Qtr of 1886, Penzance Reg. District. References
