Oral Traditions

Told by Vera Bastin to Donald Bastin 11/7/1997 Juanita's name is mispelled on the death certificate. House funeral was conducted by Ira J. Bieber, pastor of Brewster Methodist Church. Vera (age 9 at the time) recalls hearing that the funeral was held at home because they didn't know what she died of. Polio was suspected.

MILLER, JUANITA MARY

Brewster Herald April 6, 1933

Juanita Mary Miller, daughter of John and Mary Miller, was born in Brewster, Kansas, April 28, 1930, and departed this life at her home the morning of April 3, 1933, having attained the age of two years, eleven months and five days.

Her illness was but of short duration. She is survived by her father and mother, four sisters and three brothers

A house funeral was conducted by the Reverend Ira J. Bieber, pastor of the Brewster Methodist Church, Monday afternoon at 4 o'clock and interment made in the Brewster cemetery.

Burial

Juanita is buried at Brewster Cemetery in Brewster, Kansas.
