Demoss, Jehu Demoss, John Demoss, and Jane Demoss; and William Barnes (left state 15 years ago and never heard from). The location of his property is not known, but the Carroll County Land Record Abstract Book WW-1 1837-1838, has this entry, which has not been proven to be for this Joshua Barnes 632 - Joshua Barnes - 23 Jan 1838 (made 11 Jan 1838) from George Jacobs, exec/of Aquila Garretson, who sold to Hugh Doyle, land adjacent to Deer Park Road on 8 May 1837 and bond was conveyed to Joshua Barnes on 27 Sep 1837; tract The Flag Meadow, 4+acres; located on North side of Deer Park Road, by Garretson's section conveyed to Garretson by Robert Williams; and by section conveyed by Nicholas Ruxton Gay to James Francis Mort.
