- Page 273.--18th May, 1773. Joseph Gregory, heir-at-law of James Gregory, deceased, to Arthur Hickman, on West Fork of James River, called Back Creek. Delivered: Robert Clark, June, 1783.
- Page 159.--21st October, 1779. Joseph Gregory, eldest brother and heir-at-law of William Gregory, deceased, of Monengehalia, and Ann, to Samuel Gregory, tract known as Sugar Tree Bottom, on Back Creek of James River, conveyed by William Lewis to William Gregory, deceased, 17th November, 1772. Teste: Elijah Poage.

- Page 124.--15th August, 1785. Charles Hamilton and Margaret to Roger Hickman, 280 acres conveyed by Joseph Gregory to Arthur Hickman and by decease of Arthur descended to his son, William Hickman, heir-at-law, and by him conveyed to Charles.
- Page 126.--4th July, 1785. William Hickman, son and heir of Arthur Hickman, of Montgomery County, Maryland, to Charles Hamilton, on West Fork of James River called Back Creek, tract conveyed by Davis to James Gregory, deceased, by whose death it became vested in Joseph Gregory as his heir.
