John C. Regan Sr.

John C. Regan Sr., 67, of 170 Devon, formerly of Zwingle, died at 3:20 pm Wednesday at Mercy Hospital.

Friends may call after 7 pm Thursday at the Hoffmann Mortuary. Funeral service will be held at 10 am Saturday at Holy Rosary Church, LaMotte. The Rev. Franz Lohberg will officiate at the Requiem High Mass. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

He was a member of the Holy Name Society and the Rosary Society.

He was born at LaMotte, son of Michael and Mary Jane Ryan Regan, and resided in Dubuque the past six months.

He was engaged in farming near Zwingle until he retired six months ago.

Surviving are his wife, Kathyrine; six daughters, Mrs. Ray (Catherine) Kemerer, Zwingle, Mrs. Cornelius (Amelia) Bruck, Bernard, Mrs. Joseph (Agnes) Hayes, Cascade, Mrs. Eugene (Margaret) Stillmunkes, Bernard, Mrs. Harold (Pauline) Takes, Bernard, and Mrs. John C. (Monica) Hoerner, Zwingle; four sons, John C. Regan Jr., Zwingle, Frederick Regan, LaMotte, Julien Regan, Dubuque, and James Regan, at home; 35 grandchildren and a sister, Jane Regan, LaMotte.

St. Anthony's parish Rosary will be recited at 8 pm Thursday at the mortuary, and the LaMotte Council of the Knights of Columbus will meet at the mortuary at 8 pm Friday.
