MONTZ Dies Near Bloomville Monday Morning; Funeral Wednesday John Frederick Montz, aged 76, passed away at his home in Lykens township, Crawford county, near Bloomville, Monday morning at 1 o'clock. The deceased , who was the son of John and Nancy (Powlas) Montz, was born in Washington county, Maryland, November 11, 1863. He was united in marriage with Florence E. Schuff in July, 1885. She survives with the following children: Mrs. John Flechsenhair, of near Bloomville; Harry E. Montz, Wayland, Ohio; Mrs. Frank Biles, Sycamore, and Otto Montz, of Indianapolis, Ind. Three children are deceased. Also surviving are two brothers and a sister, L. B. Montz and David Montz, Sycamore, and Mrs. Emma Sheflar, residing in Maryland, and six grandchildren. Two brothers and three sisters are deceased. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon, at 2 o'clock, from the E. W. Moore funeral home at Sycamore, with Rev. B. O. Van Scyoc officiating. Interment will be made in the Mexico cemetery. MONTZ DIES IN LYKENS TOWNSHIP Funeral Services To Be Held Wednesday John Frederick Montz, 76, died at 1 a.m. today in his home in Lykens township, Crawford county. He had been seriously ill for the past week. Mr. Montz was born in Washington county, Md., Nov. 11, 1863. He was married in 1885 to Florence E. Shuff, and is survived by his wife, the following sons and daughters, Mrs. John Flechsenhar, Bloom township; Harry E., of Wayland, O.; Mrs. Frank Biles, Lykens township; and Otto, Indianapolis, Ind.; two brother, L. B., of Sycamore; and David, near Sycamore; and one sister, Mrs. Emma Sheffer, in Maryland. Funeral services are to be held at 2 p. m. Wednesday in the E. W.
