The one who went to Indiana. He invented some kind of soap (either dish washing soap or laundry soap) and made a lot of money and when he came to the family reunions he would hide pennies in the grass and all the kids would hunt for them. They really hunted hard as 10 cents would take them to a movie and ice cream or candy. Hard to believe, but I know it was possible once. "Ten cents doesn't buy much now." Mr. Montz was born in Wyandot county March 20, 1893. His parents were the late John and Florence (Shuff) Montz. He moved to Indianapolis from Wyandot county, and only recently had gone to New Mexico. He is survived by a wife, also a daughter, Lucille, who resides in Indianapolis, Ind., two sisters and a brother, Mrs. John Flechsenhar of near Bloomville, Harry Montz of near Ravenna, and Mrs. Frank Biles of east of Sycamore. One brother and one sister are deceased. He had been a sales man by occupation. The body is to arrive at Tiffin at 5:15 p. m. Sunday and from there will be taken to the E. W. Moore funeral home at Sycamore. Funeral arrangements will be announced later. The daughter is expected to arrive at the Flechsenhar home this Saturday evening, from Indianapolis".
