Lochridge, John =- born 10/1762 in Augusta County, Virginia; entered service 1781 in Rockbridge County, Virginia, where he resided; granted Pension 1832 in Montgomery County, Kentucky; resided 1840 in Sangamon County, Illinois, where he had moved to provide for large family of children; lost wife before move to Illinois; surname also spelled Lockridge; query letter in file states soldier was born 11/20/1761 in Augusta County, Virginia; query letter in file states soldier moved in 1835 to Sangamon County, Illinois & died abt. 1848; query letter in file states soldier died in Chatham, Illinois & married Margaret Henderson of Augusta County, Virginia, who died in Montgomery County, Kentucky. F-S31218, R1574.
