    Mrd. Jemima Smith, dau. of Benjamin & Hannah Smith, 5-3-1795 in Botentort Co.
    John died abt. 1820 in Mason Co. VA, killed by a rockfall while bearhunting
    & buried on the site.
    John & Jemima had seven children, Edward was the youngest & only son. Known
    daughters are:
    Sarah, born abt. 1799 mrd. Jesse Carney
    Elizabeth, b. 1-28-1805, mrd Charles Carney
    Hannah, b. abt. 1807, mrd. Leonard G. Fisher
