    She m. Canterbury, Conn. 22 Oct 17113 John Dyar, b. Weymouth 9 April 1692; d. Canterbury, Conn., 25 Feb 1779 aged 86; son of Joseph and Hannah (Baxter) Dyer. He m. (2) Canterbury, Conn., 4 Oct 1759 Joane (Christophers) Leffingwell.

    On 12 Jan. 1721/2 James Fitch sold to John Dyer 12 acres and on 28 Mar 1723 he sold to his son-in-law John Dyer all his land in Canterbury not otherwise disposed of.

    On 24 May 1749 John sold to his son John 35 acres. The will of John Dyar of Canterbury dated Apr 1773, proved 2 March 1779, mentions his son John.

    [On14 Nov 1760 John Dyer, Jr and John Hugh of Canterbury purchased land of Josiah Cleveland of Canterbury in that part of Westfield, Hampshire, Masschusetts (not in Hampden County) called Pockasuck Farms] To all People to whom these presents Shall Come Greeting, Know ye that I Josiah Clevaveland of Canterbury in the County of Windham and the Colony of Connecticutt in new England Gentn For and in consideration of the Sum of Six Hundred pounds to me in hand before the Ensealing here of well and truly paid by John Dyer Junr and John Hugh of Canterbury in the County afores. Gentn. The Receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge and my Self therewith fully Satisfyed and Content and thereof and of Every part and parcel thereof do Exonerate aquit and discharge them the said John Dyer Jrr and John Hough their Heirs Executors and administrators forever by these presents: Have Given granted bargained sold alienated Conveyed and Confirmed, and by these Presents do freely fully and absolutely give grant bargain Sell aliene Convey and Confirm unto them the Said John Dyer Junr.     They Mayflower Society claims John Dyer Jr was of Canterbury until 1760 when Elisha born. He disappears for a bit and shows up in Woodstock in 1765 when Betsey is born and finally disappears again and shows up in New London in 1771 when John is born and then is buried in Canterbury in 1722. Now look at this first hand perspective of all these movements from Westfield – it matches exactly:
