Abigail Fitch4 (Alice3 Bradford, William1-2) b. Norwich, Conn. 22 Feb 1687/8; d. Canterbury, Conn., 19 May 1759 aged 71. She m. Canterbury, Conn. 22 Oct 17113 John Dyar, b. Weymouth 9 April 1692; d. Canterbury, Conn., 25 Feb 1779 aged 86; son of Joseph and Hannah (Baxter) Dyer. He m. (2) Canterbury, Conn., 4 Oct 1759 Joane (Christophers) Leffingwell. On 12 Jan. 1721/2 James Fitch sold to John Dyer 12 acres and on 28 Mar 1723 he sold to his son-in-law John Dyer all his land in Canterbury not otherwise disposed of.
On 4 May 1743 John Dyer of Canterbury gave to his eldest son Elijah Dyar part of his home farm and 25 acres. On 25 Sept. 1759 John gave to Elijah another three pieces of land. The will of John Dyar of Canterbury dated Apr 1773, proved 2 March 1779, mentions a son Elijah.
