Weymouth 9 April 1692; d. Canterbury, Conn., 25 Feb 1779 aged 86; son of Joseph and Hannah (Baxter) Dyer. He m. (2) Canterbury, Conn., 4 Oct 1759 Joane (Christophers) Leffingwell. On 12 Jan. 1721/2 James Fitch sold to John Dyer 12 acres and on 28 Mar 1723 he sold to his son-in-law John Dyer all his land in Canterbury not otherwise disposed of.

    The will of John Dyar of Canterbury dated Apr 1773, proved 2 March 1779, mentions daughter Abigail Cobb.
