About John Cunningham

John Cunningham was listed in the will of his father-in-law, Archibald Hamilton, whose will was proven January 1794 in Augusta County, Virginia. John married Archibald Hamilton's daughter Lettice. According to some researchers he migrated to Callaway County, Missouri where he died after 1787 [some say around 1800]. This is problematic as Missouri did not become a state until 1812, and Callaway County, Missouri was not established until 1820 when it was formed form part of Montgomery County, Missouri. Additional research is needed to determine the location of John Cunningham and his wife's death and likely will or probate records.
