Early Land Acquisition in Augusta County, VA

Disposition of Land from Chalkley's:


  • Page 286.--18th April. 1780. John Bigham (Bingham) and Jane, and Sarah Bigham, wife of John Bigham, deceased, to Thomas Scott. Delivered to William H. Scott, 27th January, 1802. The plantation in Beverley Manor John Bigham now lives on.

  • Vol. 1 - AUGUST 18, 1780. - (280) Joseph Blair appointed road surveyor from James Campbell's field to James Trotter's. John Campbell, vice John Bigham, appointed road surveyor.
  • Vol. 1 - JUNE 15, 1784. - (253) Dedimus for priv. examination of Jane, wife of John Bigham. Deed to Thomas Scott.
