from David O'Killia the Immigrant, p. 23: "Not much is known of Jeremiah, who was probably the eldest son of the immigrant. He was however a large property owner, having acquired nearly all of the village of West Dennis between Bass and West Pond Rivers. His property bordering on both rivers afforded him ample boating and fishing advantages. He was engaged in farming, fishing, building of wind mills, but found time to participate in town affairs, as did his father, and was a prominent and responsible citizen. In the Division of Common Lands in 1712, he received his allotment.

"For a man of those days he managed to amass considerable property. His estate inventoried 1447 pounds, 5 shillings, and 10 pence, a sizable sum for those early days. He survived his wife."
