May 23, 1785. James Miller enters 78a by Treasury Warrant No. 10853 for 1000a dated 22 Feb 1782 joining his right of settlement on Wolf Creek. (surveyed). Also 37a by the above warrant joining his right of settlement on Indian Creek, a branch of New River. Surveyed. [Source: DEEDS; VA; Greenbrier Co; Deed Book I].
May 23, 1785 Jacob Dowrin enters 45a per order from James Miller by the above warrrant for 1000 acres. [Source: DEEDS; VA; Greenbrier Co; Deed Book I].
Aug. 19, 1785. - James Millar enters 100 acres by virute of a Treasury Warrant for 1000 acres assigned him by Christopher Bryan, No. 10853, on the north side of Swobe's Knobs extending toward John Swobes including the Lewis Lone Lick on a branch of Wolf Creek for quantity. (Lifted for John Millar, Jr. Feb 19, 1794). Also 105 acres on the Indian Draft on the road leading from Indian Creek to Wolf Creek, to include a piece of meadow ground. Joseph Swoobe enters 70 acres of land in Greenbrier Co., by order from John Swoobes by part of a warrant for 1000a No. 10853, in partnership with James Millar and Kincaid, joining his own land, David Jarrett, and Owen and Ellis on Laurel Creek, a branch of Wolf Creek. Beginning at 2 white oaks & locust, in the head of a hollow, on the old line, & ct. to halsteads part of Said Survey and with old lines N 16 E 14 poles to a white oak and hickory on a path on the top of a [missing word] and N 61 E 120 poles to 2 Ironwood and a white oak on hillside and N 27 E 122 poles to a Double poplar on a Ruyn near a large lick, & N 83 W 74 poles, 2 white oaks , & S 84 W 80 poles to 3 white oaks on a path near a small field , & N 59 W 40 poles to a hickory and whiteoak on Mazes line, and with S 15 E 12 poles to 2 white oaks , Cr. to & with the same, S 50 50 W 100 poles to 2 Elms standing, one on each side of a Branch on said line and corner to Maddy's part, and leaving old line, and with Maddys, up the Courses & meanders of said Branch, 37 poles to a Buckeye and Suggartree, Standing one on Each side of said Branch, and thence S 68 poles to a Spanish oak cr. to Same on halsteads line and with the latter, S 61 E 112 poles, to the Beginning.
