Some researchers have concluded [in error] that this James Given[s] had a first marriage to Rachel Stephenson in 1799, but other records prove it was James Gwinn (1774-1844), son of David Gwin and Jane Carlisle, that married Rachel Stephenson. The Find-A-Grave contributor has been messaged to remove this erroneous information.
