    James Crawford was the son of John and Rebekah(?)Crawford. James married Martha Knight on 12 March 1793 at Lincoln Co. Kentucky. James died in West Lebanon, Warren Co. Indiana on 3 Dec 1833 at age 62.
    James and Martha, along with their children moved from their farm in Preble County Ohio, which he later sold, to Warren County Indiana around 1829.
    He purchased SW quarter section 21N range 8W (80 acres), SW quarter section 5 township 21N range 8W(160 acres), NW quarter section 26 township 21N range 9W (80 acres), SW quarter section 21 township 21N range 9W (80 acres), and SW quarter section 21 township 21N range 8W (80 acres) in 1829.
    James Crawford was a member of the West Lebanon Christian church circa 1830, Warren County. He was associate judge in 1833 at Warren County, Indiana. James is buried on farm ground where he lived in Warren county, now owned by Frances Allen, (husband, the late Frank D. Allen).
