Herman W. Kohler, 72, of 283 2nd Street NW, Carrollton, died Sunday in his home after a long illness. A retired employee of the Carrollton Manufacturing Co., he was born January 13, 1901 in Kilgore, a son of the late Albert and Amelia (Arnold) Kohler. He was a member of the former Presbyterian Church at Kilgore.
Survivors include five sisters, Mrs. Harry (Velma) Hawkins of Brooksville, Florida, Mrs. Gotta Cline, Mrs. Mervin (Ruth) McLaughlin and Mrs. Willis (Marie) long, all of Carrollton, and Mrs. Rex (Eula) Stevens of Columbus. He was preceded in death by a brother, Allen in 1955. Services were held Tuesday in the Sweeney funeral Home at Carrollton with Rev. David McCalmont officiating. Burial was in Kilgore Cemetery.
