Obituary HERBERT M. McHATTEN CASTLE HILL - Herbert M. McHatten, 85, died at a Presque Isle hospital Monday following a short illness. He was born at Ashland June 12, 1879, son of Robert and Nancy (Porter) McHatten. Mr. McHatten had been a resident here most of his life. He was a member of the Mapleton Methodist Church and a 50-year member of the Castle Hill Grange. He is survived by his widow, Asenatha (Littlefield) McHatten, four sons, Herman, Stanley, Robert and Rowell, all of Castle Hilll three daughters Mrs. Eliza Watt of Castle Hill, Mrs. Maude Lovely of Southington, Conn., Mrs. Margaret Salvatore of Plantsville, Conn.; a brother, Norman of Houlton; 18 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Graves Funeral Home in Presque Isle Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Mapleton Methodist Church Wednesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Kinglsey Strout, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in the Castle Hill Cemetery.
