  • Page 80.--20th August, 1765. Hugh ( ) Botkin and Easter (Esther) to Henry Pickett, £20, 174 acres on a draft of North River Shanandoe corner Robert McMahon. Delivered: Hugh Donaho, 1st June, 1769.


Disposition of Land in Virginia:


  • Page 121 - Nov. 20, 1766 Henry Pickett, of Augusta County, conveys to James Roy, of Essex Co. (for £37 currency), all that parcel of land which was left or given by William Pickett, deceased, by his last will and testament, to the said Henry Pickett; the said land is 100 acres in Essex Co., and adjoins the lands of James Roy, David Dishman, Robert Carter, William Ayres and William Noell, decd. [Source: Essex County, Virginia Deed Book 30]. (Note: Henry Pickett was listed in the wil of his uncle, William Pickett).
  • Page 418.--20th June, 1769. Henry Picket and Jean to Hugh Donaghoe, £10, 174 acres on a draft of North River of Shanandoe, corner Robert McMahon. Teste: John McMahon, James Coulter, Samuel Erwin. Delivered: Hugh Donaho, 8th March, 1775.

  • Page 60 - 0ct. 15, 1760, William Pickett, of Fauquier Co. conveys to James Kay, of Essex Co. (for L. 89 curr.), a tract of 267 acres being part of 500 acres sold and conveyed by John Amiss and Sarah, his wife, to Henry Pickett, by deed recorded in Essex court, June 10, 1698; the said 267 acres now in Essex Co., and a smaller part in Caroline County; beginning at an oak branch of Cockershells Creek and adjoining Dishman's and Capt. Robert Rennolds' line; said Pickett agreeing to defend title to same from right of dower of E1izabeth, the now wife of the said William Pickett. [Source: Essex County, virginia Deed Book 29].
  • Vol. 1 - SEPTEMBER 23, 1763. - (248) Jane Pickett, a witness. (Note: probable wife of Henry?)
  • Vol. 1 - NOVEMBER, 1764 (A). - Hugh (mark) Botkins. Bond dated 19th September, 1761, to Handry Picket, conditioned to making deed to 174 acres, comprehending the place John Kare sold to Richard Botkin, joining Robert Reburn and John Strain, on the east; Robert McMahan and John Botkin, on the west; John Richey and James Orrey and Edward Beard, on the north. Test: John and Mary Botkin.
  • Page 175.--20th November, 1770. Henry Pickett to Hugh Donaghe (Donaho), £28, slaves and furniture, conditioned for payment of £98. Teste: Benj. Morgan and Audley Hamilton. Delivered: Hugh Donaho, 10th August, 1772.
  • Vol. 1 - MARCH 28, 1771. - (204) Henry Picket's death abates suit. (Note: Henry Pickett's will or estate records do not appear in Augusta County records; he likely died in either Essex, Fauquier of Caroline County, more research necessary).
