THIS INDENTURE made thirteenth/fourteenth day of July in year 1722 Between ALLIN FRAIZER of County of Essex of one part and WILLIAM BLANTON of the above said County of other part Witnesseth that said Allin Fraizer for sum of three thousand five hundred & fifty pds. of Tobacco & Cask hath granted unto William Blanton his heirs 150 acres of land being in Essex County being part of a tract of 517 acres formerly patten'd by JAS PICKLE [Pickell] & WALTER PROVERB lying in St. Marys Parish on the South side of Pewmansead Runn Beginning at two marked Hickory saplins standing in line of THOMAS MEADOWES land & running thence East with line of marked trees devideing the within menconed land & land of KATHARINE and ELINOR PROVERB to a red oak standing near the land of Col. CARTERs land thence North thence West with a line of marked trees devideing the within menconed land & the land of RICHARD SANDERS to three marked hickory saplins standing in the line of above said Thomas Meadows, thence East with said Meadows line to the first menconed beginning Presence of THOMAS SMITH, Allin Fraizer, WILLM BRAMLITT, GEO ROBINSON Joan Frazier. At a Court held for Essex County the 17th day of July 1722. This Lease and Release admitted to record. Also the same day Came into Court JOAN FRAIZER the Wife of Allin Fraizer & freely relinquished her right of dower which is also admitted to record. [3]
- Page 75 - Aug. 15, 1746 - John Picket, and Mary of Caroline Co., to James Herndon, of Essex Co., for 5 shillings, convey 180 acres in Essex formerly purchased by said Picket from John Harper. [Source: Essex County Deeds & c., 1745-1749].
- Page 24 - Feb. 20, 1765, John Pickett and Mary, his wife, of Caroline County, convey by deed of gift, to Mace Pickett, son of the said John and Mary Pickett, all that tract of land the said John and Mary Pickett hold in Southfarnham Parish, Essex County, containing 125 acres, and adjoining lands of William Cox and Henry Cox, and on Piscataway Creek.
