Archibald Baile BOGLE (1730-1812) married Janet Cathcart (information from R. Kelly, rootsweb worldconnect). A portrait of Archibald Bogle (1730-1812), 2nd son of Robert Bogle of Shettleston and Agnes (daughter of Sir Archibald Stewart of Blackhall) was lent to Old Glasgow Exhibition by Archibald Hamilton Donald. Archibald Bogle married (1) Janet, daughter of Hugh Cathcart, and (2) Helen Wardrop (Exhibition catalogue). Archibald and Janet had the following child:

  • Helen BOGLE (4jan1758-1825) married John HAMILTON (b. 1754) (R. Kelly). Helen Bogle was born 25dec1757 and christened 4jan1758 at Glasgow, daughter of Archibald Bogle and Janet Cathcart (IGI). A portrait of Helen Bogle or Hamilton (1757-1825), daughter of Archibald Bogle of the Shettleston family, wife of John Hamilton of Northpark (1754-1829) was lent to Old Glasgow Exhibition 1894 by Mrs. Colin R. Dunlop (catalogue). Mrs. Dunlop was presumably Helen Bogle Hamilton.
