Funeral services were held in St. Louis, Mo., at St. Boniface Church June 17, 1976, for Harold J. Tayek. He died after a long illness on June 15. He was born at Giard, Ia., in 1911 and had lived in McGregor for 25 years. He was a long-time employee of Mobil Oil Company aboard one of their river boats and was retired for 3 years. Survivors, in addition to his wife, Marie, are two daughters Mrs. Robert (Karol) Walsh, St. Louis, and Mrs. James (Sharon) Ryan, St. Louis, five grandchildren, one sister, Florence Tayek, Calmar, Ia., and one brother, Benjamin Tayek, Clinton, Ia. Burial is in a public cemetery in St. Louis in a Catholic section known as the Garden of Gethsemane. |
