John Emmett Todd states that George Smith Rodenbaugh was "born in Clarksville, New Jersey, Sept. 20, 1805, married to Elizabeth Jackson of Clinton, N.J. July 28, 1825. Came to Illinois in the spring of 1852 and removed his family to Illinois in 1853. Died at Roseville, Illlinois, April 13, 1886. Elizabeth, his wife, was born in New York state August 5, 1805, and died at Roseville, Illinois Aug. 24, 1877. Around 1851-53, he moved his wife and twelve children, along with his parents and other family members to Illinois. He bought a farm in Warren County, near the town of Roseville. ELIZABETH died in Roseville between 1871-79 and both are buried in the Roseville Cemetery.
