  • Vol. 2 - Revolutionary War Service Declaration: George Lemon's Declaration, August 18th, 1832: Enlisted under Lieut. Adam Wallace in the Seventh Virginia Regiment of Col. Daingerfield or Col. Buckner; at Buford's defeat was wounded and made prisoner. Jacob Lemon testifies that he saw George march out of Staunton under Capt. Adam Wallace. (Note: Jacob Lemon was George's brother).

Lemon, George - entered service 1776 in Staunton, (Augusta County) Virginia; resided in Botetourt County, Virginia for many years, thence Alleghany County, Virginia, where he received pension in 1822, age not given; resided there in 1823 occupation farmer when had no wife. F-S38137, R1547.
