George L. was born into the Roman Catholic faith but never affiliated with the church. He moved to Yount County, Texas with his parents in 1880. After his marriage to Georgia "Annie" Ina Wertz, he was a stone mason and a contractor. He built the Rock House Ranch which was four miles west of Farmer Texas. It was famous in its day and served as a landmark for years. George and Georgia Ina moved from Young County, Texas to Hale County, Texas. They homesteaded land and operated a cattle ranch. however, most of their cattle were poisoned by eating the Loco Weed. They lelft Hale County Texas and moved to Amarillo. Later they moved to Tucumcari, New Mexico and on to California. They returned to Graham Texas for a while, then moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico where George L. died in 1933.
