Early Land Acquisition in Augusta County, VA
Acquisition of Land from Chalkley's:
- Page 431.--6th August, 1767. William Graham to his son Francis Graham, £100, 364 acres on Buffelo Creek of Rone Oak and in a fork of same adjoining Israel Christian, William Carvin and Joseph Robinson, part of 845 acres patented to James Patton. 3d November, 1750, oak in the Barrens; corner said Israel Christian, formerly Joshua McCormick's; oak on Carvin's Creek, fork of Buffelo Creek; corner 236 acres deeded to Joseph Robinson. Teste: Donald Campbell.

- Page 272.--19th March, 1763. George Robinson's will--Wife, Martha; eldest sons, James and Samuel, to clothe and school all the younger children; younger sons, George and William, infants, to be bound to trades; eldest daughter. Sarah; daughters, Catherine, Priscilla, Martha, under 18. Executors, wife and sons James and Samuel. Teste: William Preston, Wm. Graham, Jos. Robinson, Jno. Robinson, Francis Graham. Proved, 25th June, 1763, by Wm. Preston, Wm. Graham, Joseph Robinson. Executors qualify, with Joseph Robinson, Wm. Graham.
