Fanny Copps was baptised on 17th April 1836 at Graveley in Hertfordshire, daughter of Rhoda Copps, formerly Gundril, and her husband John Copps, a labourer. In 1840, when Fanny was four years old, her father John died, aged about 42. The following year's census finds Fanny living with her mother and sisters at Jacks Hill in Graveley. She has yet to be researched after 1841.
