Porter, 94, of Benzonia died Sunday at Paul Oliver Memorial hospital after an extended illness. He was born February 19, 1874, in New York, the son of Mr. & Mrs. James Porter, and had been a Benzonia resident over 50 years. Funeral services were held Wednesday at Bennett funeral home, Benzonia. Rev. Murry Sleeper officiated, with burial in the Benzonia cemetery.
