Miss Porter has been a first gread teacher for the past 8 years. She is a graduate of the Benzonia High School, and the Central Michigan Collage of education at Mt. Pleasant. Her Fiancee, Larry Moore is the manager of the Penneys Company Store at Hastings. He graduated from Hastings High School in 1937, and spent 3 years in the armed forces, and was discharged as a Liautenant in the Air Force. After graduating from UCLA, in merchandising, he worked for the Macy Company in New York, and later transferd to the J.C. Penney organiziation. Kent Co. Public Library; Grand Rapids Press 1984 Feb. 2, MOORE - Mrs. Minnie Mae More, aged 61 passed away Thursday. Surviving are her husband Larry D. Moore, her brothers and wives, John J. and Adele Porter, David and Gwen Porter both of Benzonia, MI. Mrs. Moore reposes at the VanStrien- Creston Chapel where friends may meet the family 7 to 9 pm Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Sunday Msgr. Julian Moleski will conduct a prayer service at 7 pm. Sunday. Funeral services will be held 11 am. Monday at the First Presbyterian Church in Hastings. Rev. Willard Curtis officiating. Interment in Rutland Cemetery.
