Emma Woodfield was born in late 1877 and baptised on 13th January 1878 at the parish church of St Nicholas in Warwick. She was the daughter of a laundress named Emma Woodfield, formerly Bastock, and her husband Edward Samuel Woodfield, a carpenter. Sadly young Emma died as a baby when she was only nine months old, being buried at Warwick Cemetery on 18th August 1878.
