The 1871 census finds young Edward living with his parents at 15 Stand Street in Warwick.

Some time between 1872 and 1874 the family moved from Stand Street to the Packmores area of Warwick, on the opposite side of town, north of the railway. Edward appears in the 1881 and 1891 censuses living here with his parents and siblings at 16 Paradise Street. By 1891 he was working as a wheelwright. He has yet to be researched after 1891.
