Alice Maria Woodfield was baptised on 9th January 1876 at the parish church of St Nicholas in Warwick. She was the daughter of a laundress named Emma Woodfield, formerly Bastock, and her husband Edward Samuel Woodfield, a carpenter. The family lived in the Packmores area of Warwick. Alice appears in both the 1881 and 1891 censuses living at home with her parents at 16 Paradise Street in Packmores. By 1891 she was working as a domestic servant. She has yet to be researched after 1891.
