Mrs. W. Mcconnell Called By Death Funeral Services For Ladysmith Woman at Bruce Thursday Mrs William Mcconnell, 73, of Ladysmith, died at St. Mary's hospital Monday after a lingering illness. Funeral services were held Thursday at the Mirr funeral home in Bruce. Rev. N. E. Sinninger was the officiating pastor,with burial in the Bruce cemetery. Pallbearers were Walter Leatherman, Clayton Ewald, Lew Mattison, Claire Towers, William Daily and Donald Worall. Ellen Waddell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. B. Waddell, was born in Ontario, Can., Nov.1, 1872. Her marriage to William J. McConnell took place in Canada in 1893.They came to Rusk county in 1939. Mr. McConnell operated a harness shop at Bruce and later moved with his wife to Ladysmith, operating a shop on Miner Ave. Wext. Surviving are the husband; four sons, Robert F., of Washington, D. C.; Gordon, of Bruce; Glenn B., Ames, Ia; Carl O. Superior; two daughters, Mrs ClaraMcKay, Dehli [sic], Minn.,and Jean Sargent, Ladysmith, and a brother, John R. Waddell.
